Question: We strive to provide outstanding palliative care to folks in our community and notice hearing loss is a frequent complication. What are your thoughts on providing solutions for this population?

Answer: Hearing and communication are so critical at the end of life because, at this stage, patients more than ever need to communicate with their families, caregivers, and physicians. Good hearing health care is essential, yet it often goes overlooked by care providers and families that are focused on the many other medical, financial, social, and legal concerns that come up. There are devices available for these needs that are affordable, are easy to use, and do not require an office visit. It is important to have the ability to communicate easily and ease a hardship. The emotional effects of hearing loss are hard on everyone. Call our office for treatment options.
