Dr. Patti Thigpen, Founder, dedicated more than four decades to hearing health care and the fields of speech and hearing sciences before retiring in 2024. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree and The University of Tennessee with a master’s degree, Patti later earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University in Pennsylvania. Throughout her career, she served in a variety of leadership and clinical roles, including director of audiology programs, consultant for school-based hearing impairment programs, director of newborn hearing screening, and industrial consultant for noise-management programs.
Dr. Thigpen also provided clinical supervision for audiology students and worked as a speech therapist in the public school system for seven years. She spent 17 years working within medical ENT practices, helping develop and grow their audiology departments while providing care for patients from newborns to adults. In 2008, she founded her private practice and thoughtfully expanded the team by adding two additional doctors to continue her commitment to exceptional patient care.
Throughout her career, Dr. Thigpen was an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the American Academy of Audiology, the Better Business Bureau, and New Vision Baptist Church, where she enjoyed serving in many capacities.
